# Open Source Development

OpenWebSearch.eu is devoted to be fully Open Source and Open Data. We are also open to communities, developers, researchers or organisations to join us and contribute / use the projects result.

Regular coordination happens in the [OpenWebSearch Community](https://openwebsearch.eu/community/). For development, we use the Gitlab [OpenCode](https://opencode.it4i.eu/) hosted by IT4I.

## Touch Points

- Our community meets up every first Monday of the month (usually), 15:00-16:00 to give updates and talk about what everyone is working on. Join the [OpenWebSearch Community](https://openwebsearch.eu/community/) to get an invite or contact community@openwebsearch.eu
- We have regular weekly standups on Friday, 9:30-10:00 discussing blockers and next steps. Join the [OpenWebSearch Community](https://openwebsearch.eu/community/) to get an invite
- We plan features and developments in the issue tracking system associated with this online book. See e.g. our [2025 Roadmap EPIC](https://opencode.it4i.eu/openwebsearcheu-public/ows-the-book/-/issues/1)
- Documentation is done in the individual repositories (see next chapter), with an aggregate in this book
- We provide tutorials for functionalities and use cases in this book
- Persistent deliverables/reports/software (e.g. for experiments) should be submitted to our Zenodo [community](https://zenodo.org/communities/owseu/)
